Preparing the baby's room

Spring is going to be busy for us with sailing lessons, visiting family, and military reserve commitments. We have been feeling nudged to begin preparing some things for our future baby's arrival, so we figured we would work on it before we get really busy. We don't have much yet, but it has been fun to buy furniture and work with what we have. There isn't a "theme" yet, but we tried to stay gender neutral and play around with colors. The orange crib is my favorite and turned out pretty amazing. Adam did a great job painting it which was challenging in this Texas wind!
The blue wall makes the room look so much bigger! It was our favorite paint color from our house in St. Louis

We couldn't resist picking up one of these while registering!

Adam's favorite book & a story about adoption

After rearranging the furniture several times, and putting it back where it started, the Eli Young Band lyrics painting I did stayed in it's original spot. Adam insists on displaying the mustachifer he ordered.

Our very talented friend, Maria crocheted this for us. It's so cute, and I can't wait to see it on our baby!
We don't know for sure how long it will be until we change our first of many diapers in this room, but we have had more fun than expected setting up our baby's room.

I can't leave out the picture of the Razorback sock monkey!

  1. Looks good! Must be so exciting setting up a nursery. I can't wait to do that, too.
