Nurse Thank Yous...

I got the idea to make thank you goodie bags for the nurses from Pinterest. I thought it would be a great idea for our situation. Our son was born at a small hospital that didn’t do many adoptions. The hospital’s risk management was hesitant to tell us what all we would be allowed to do. Ultimately it’s the nurses who decide what you can do, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to kiss up a little bit.

I kept the gifts small and simple since we would be flying with them. I made six of them. They had hand sanitizer, chapstick, chocolates, a cute fingernail file, and gum.

We had a great experience at the hospital, and all of the nurses and the doctor that delivered our son were thrilled with their gift bags. We also took them donut holes for breakfast one morning. The nicer we were to them, the nicer they were to our Birth Mother and us!
