As I have mentioned before I didn’t know much, and was quite
naïve to the adoption process when we started. I’m not one to do much sitting
around and waiting, so I quickly started reaching out and finding others who
were on the adoption journey. I was also hoping that getting our name and
adoption desires out there would expedite the process. It didn’t.
In the process of reaching out, I have come across all kinds
of people on different sides of the adoption triad. Each of them have plenty of
opinions about adoption, and most of them don’t mind sharing. I love that,
because it has forced me to evaluate my thoughts and opinions on topics I
otherwise wouldn’t have known to consider. It’s been mostly good, but there are
some opinions that can hurt your feelings if you let them. You just have to
remember that we aren’t the same, and we have different backgrounds. We aren’t
all going to agree and that’s all right.
Humanity is humanity no matter the situation, and I am
always surprised by it whether it’s good or bad. I have experienced the good
and the bad several times along or journey, but overall it hasn’t changed my
outlook on humanity, just expanded it.
Humanity is humanity...love it. :) Glad you're still blogging!!
